I am an operations leader with 10+ years scaling venture-backed SaaS, currently a direct report to the CEO at Kognitos, where I run every operational function for a 150+ person company with a 25+ person team and a $500K+ annual tooling budget.What I actually do sits in two halves that most people split across two roles.The first is the operating cadence. I own the weekly executive operating review, the quarterly board pre-read, and the OKR cycle alongside the CEO and COO. When a cross-functional problem has no clear owner, it comes to me and I close it end to end rather than route it onward.The second is that I build the systems underneath that cadence myself, in Salesforce, Python, and APIs. Our leadership reporting layer, which I scoped and guided the build of while writing a majority of it, recovers 780 hours a year (~$117K) against a ~$16K build — payback in about seven weeks. Cutting redundant vendors saved another $320K a year. Instrumenting product trials took first meetings from 3 a month to 22.A few things I have taken from zero:→ Two India entities, built direct rather than through a PEO, at 30%+ lower per-employee cost. I wrote the business case for the first one and then ran the build.→ SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 at two startups, owned end to end, zero critical findings.→ The board-ready SaaS metrics and forecasting frameworks (CAC, LTV, NRR, Rule of 40) that CFOs at two companies adopted as the standard.→ A 75-person Operations Engineering org at Gojek across four Southeast Asian markets, serving a 200K-500K merchant base.I care about the same question in every seat: which numbers does leadership not trust yet, and what has to be built so they can.
